About

I am a senior at the University of Georgia, majoring in journalism with an emphasis in magazines, pursuing a certificate in sports journalism and minoring in sociology. I joined the sports staff at The Red & Black the first semester ofmy freshman year and have worked there ever since. I have also interned at USA Gymnastics, Inside Publications — working specifically with Inside Gymnastics magazine — and Gymnastike. In 2014, I was named the first Conrad Fink Scholar, which is a scholarship “given to students who show remarkable promise, journalistic integrity, intellectual courage and commitment to a career in journalism that honors the spirit and achievement of Professor Fink.” In the future, I hope to be a multimedia sports journalist covering gymnastics or any of the Olympic sports. Before college, I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years and made it to level 9 out of 10 levels. During my final season, I competed at the 2011 Eastern National Championships.
